Fantastic trip out of Rudee Inlet for Virginia black seabass today! Caught a 6 man limit of black sea bass in pretty short order this morning so we decided to stop and look around on the way in. We spent a couple hours sight fishing for Cobia and Red Drum just a mile or two off the shoreline of Virginia Beach. We were rewarded with 3 citation size drum and a nice cobia. Black seabass lasts one more week before a temporary closure and the near shore fishing is really heating up. Tuna reports are improving off North Carolina and we hope to get down there soon.
